The Conservatives were urged yesterday to reach out to women voters or face another decade in the political wilderness.

Theresa May, the Tories' spokesman on family issues, appealed to the party to reconnect with female opinion by appreciating the dilemmas faced by career women.

"Women used to fake orgasms and make mince pies. Now we can do the orgasms but we fake the mince pies, and they call this progress," said Mrs May.

It's about the Tory Party and its attitude to women.

Last time round, when she was Party Chairman, she addressed the national conference and refered to her own party as 'the nasty party'.

She just likes to grab at headlines, if you're in the shadow cabinet and say 'orgasm' you get into the newspapers - I'd guess that's what it's all about.
