Poll question: Moral Q: Would fast food be acceptable IF... if... |
|
our society gave us well paying jobs that involved moving, lifting, carrying, and so on instead of sedentary desk jobs where we transmogrify from humans into stolid lumps on logs who like to watch "American Idol" and those pathetic movies that only massage your emotions rather than compelling you to THINK about what goes on in life as we've made of it?
But I digress. The sugar and calories would be burned into energy as would the fat. No problem.

The extra sugar, fat, and salt is only part of the problem. The other part is how far the alleged food is from its natural state-- how much of it has been adulterated by weird laboratory processes into forms we never evolved the tools to digest.
(Which actually is my problem with a lot of so-called health foods too. I know that from a health standpoint I should eat less dairy, but the alternatives I'm offered are things like tofutti and soy cheese, which I don't believe really offer me what my body needs, and which also kinda taste rancid to me.)
