I think it occurs when folks link directly to other sites to steal proprietary images.

...to an infringement complaint. Pretty daring of them, I think, not to qualify it with the usual "good faith belief" or "suspected" phrases. Whatever the reasons, they are not allowing access to the page, and may have deleted it from their server.
