Proud dorky daddy post

Ok so my daughter is 22 months old, and today we're having a daddy / daughter day since mommy is helping her sister at their grandparents.

Anyway I've been picking up around the house and playing a bit with music going since we're having a get together tonight.

Blue Oyster Cult comes on with "Don't Fear the Reaper" and I notice that Gracie is kinda into the song (doin her white girl dance).

So I start clapping in beat, and she starts to clap too (nothing new here). But then she's able to keep clapping to the beat with me!!! Total first there, then I stop and she kept on clapping with the beat!!

So of course I call mommy and tell her we need to buy Gracie a cowbell!!!

1. I love that kind of stuff
It's amazing how much pleasure kids can bring by doing simple things.

There's some scientific study that recently said that if parents dance with their babies, they pick up how to keep a beat which stays with them once they're grown up.
Good work! :toast:

3. I can totally comprehend your feelings.
I'm still amazed by my 3 and 5 year old.
