Pinehurst is kicking everyone's ass today

for those of you who care. The greens are like putting on the backs of giant turtles.

Hedblom's 66 lowest in Pinehurst's Open history

PINEHURST, N.C. (AP) -- Peter Hedblom lost his golf clubs on his flight from Sweden. Once they finally arrived, he posted the lowest score ever in a U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

Hedblom shot a four-under-par 66.

The 66 assured he would be around for the weekend, even after opening with a 77. He'll go into Saturday at 3-over.
