Poll question: Should William Rivers Pitt run for office someday? |
|
I'm thinking Rep. William Rivers Pitt, D-Wherever.

1. Absolutely, Will should run for public office! |
|

Here's why: He's very liberal, smart, well-spoken, driven and passionate about the issues, as well as well-educated about them. After hearing him speak, I think it would be a waste of his considerable talents if he didn't run for office. I'd sure as heck vote for him. And not just for representative; how about senator, or even president?
Go for it, Will!
:woohoo:
edit for spelling error.

No way. ;)
No, honestly, I could see ole Pitt in the U.S. Congress, at least. I'd vote for him.

Yes, he needs to run. What else do we need to do to convince him?

1. I'm not sure that Will is 'electable'. He might be too 'radical' for middle America. I'm also willing to bet he's inhaled a time or two.
2. He doesn't seem like a politician to me - kissing babies and all that other nonsense.
3. I think he might find elected office stifling. There's so much you can't say, and so much compromise required.
I'd rather see him turning a major news organization on its ear from within or being someone's Karl Rove.

Let him continue to do well what he already does so well.

As soon as things look like they are returning to some semblance of non-insanity, I am going straight back to teaching high school. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.
Thanks for the thought, though.

Oh wait they're not in first place, I am sorry. Are you upset because we took that series against you at Comerica?
