How do you pronounce "Aix-en-Provence"? |
|
My years of high school French and several years in college told me that it was "Aa" en-Provence. But somebody is telling me that it is "X" en-Provence. Anybody care to take a swing at this?

Or, X on provence. That's the way I've always heard it, but I suspect it could be wrong because all of the people I've heard pronounce it were American and probably aren't the experts.
