1. Awww, so beautiful!

You're so special to take in that little kitty with the shattered leg. We had a stray black kitty wander into our yard a few years ago with a broken leg. It took $600 in vet bills, but it was worth it - he gave us so much love and companionship, I'd do it again in a heartbeat :)

3. cats find me

I was fortunate to have my Chinchilla Silver Persian, Billie with me for 18 1/2 years. Most of the numerous cats in my life were rescues of one kind or another.

5. Same here! :)

All of our cats are neighborhood strays we took in or ones we found while driving, etc.

Unfortunately my black kitty, Shadow, disappeared March 23rd of this year. I've frantically searched for him since (and continue to do so). I had a possible sighting of him just about 500 feet from our house, but have not seen him since. I'd give my right arm to have him home again. Shadow is the kindest, most gentle soul I've ever met. He gets along with any person and any kitty. I just know I'll see my Shadow kitty again.

I love Democrats who are animal people. So many kind-hearted people here who open their hearts and homes to homeless fur babies :)

I'll never understand why someone tossed him out. He was full grown and beautiful in every way when we met ... except for his shattered leg. The vet said the injury looked as if he had been kicked. He was able to use the leg normally after he healed.:)
