Men, do you talk to your Dad every day? |
|
I'm just wondering what percentage of men do. It seems to me that most men do not, but... Anyone? (I never did, now my dad is gone.)

nah. We have a routine. Either I call my parents, or they call me at about 6pm every Sunday night, right as I'm settling-down after dinner (yah.. we eat early). I usually talk to Mom first for about ten minutes, and then Dad for 10 minutes.
They're in New Orleans, I'm in Austin. I plan on moving back to Louisiana to be closer to them in a year or two. I miss 'em.

2. My father passed away when I was 15 |
|
I'm sure he had a lot more to tell me and teach me. Looking back, I'd have liked to hear more of his stories from his service.
I hope more men (and women) take the time to talk to their dads (and moms) more than they just HAVE to.

but we seem to dance around the sensative subjects... we bitch about how work or school is going, dish about what we think of a new guitar or whatever... we talk about what kinda cars we are lookin at, while niether of us are really gearheads... but you know how it is. and what kinda dog would be good for the family, ect.
i dont really share my deep personal side with anyone, really. and hes kinda the same way, i think.
