Lovely canoe trip this morning.
Saw turtles, alligators, one big fat water moccasin and the best of all two manatee lying in shallow water!
Paddled for a couple of hours and went for a nice swim. Just me and my two children.
I love where I live. The wilderness is all around me.
Just wanted to share.

A few years ago I had my daughter come to Daytona for fathers day. We went to Blue Spring Park, just east of Orlando. While swimming there we ran into a mother and baby Manatee and swam with them. It was a great experience. My daughter will remember the rest of her life.

11. Whoa. How long did you and the manatees swim together? |
|
And the water in those springs is clear as glass, isn't it? That must have been a helluva good time.

Grew up there. Great place to go snorkle. I made mom & dad take me at least 5 or 6 times a summer. yup those were the days.

13. Don't know if it's the biggest |
|
but it was one of my favorites. Clear water that went about 50 feet deep or so. Mom took me to Deleon Springs almost every night for a hour or so (we had a yearly pass) and went to Silver and Blue springs from time to time. Yeah I love to swim - :) Those we're the days. :)
