My son woke me up this morning and told me "Happy Father's Day, Mom." He said that he has a mother and a father all rolled up in one.

I let my son go to Lincoln to see his 'father' today even though he hasn't done a damn thing for him in his life. (The state is trying to collect back child support for me.) But my son loves him. I had to let him go even though I didn't want to.

Oh well, so goes life.

11. Again, thanks a lot. I hate the high road. Sometimes I find myself

getting nosebleeds from the altitude I'm up there so much.

But it's that or run the risk of my son resenting me for the rest of my life. Believe me, I'm not a martyr, don't think I am. I let him go so that he doesn't hold it against me that they don't have a relationship. If I thought otherwise, who knows how I'd act.

As I said in a thread yesterday, it amazes me that some parents refuse to provide any financial support for their children.
