1. No
Good taste and style and intelligence sometimes conspire to make one look dignified.

Pregnancy just makes you look swollen.

4. not everyone who is pregnant looks fat and swollen
but one can't help looking that way wearing tight blouses.

Isn't that harmful to the baby's development?

10. Babies have their own world
Women would have to bind themselves seriously in order to affect the baby in the womb - they're already floating and Nature knows how to protect them.

12. But, but, but
she always looks like trash.

I actually watched one of their "reality" TV shows.

She's quite the dimwit.

Pregnancy didn't make her look like trash. She already was.

5. You can never look dignified when your fly is open
I just had a scary thought. Imagine her in a remake of My Fair Lady attempting to become dignified. She could never pull it off but it would be a classic right up there with Gigli and Manos Hands of Fate.

And why does she have six toes? How can "Inside Edition" have missed this important development?

I also didn't go around with my zipper open.

16. A friend of mine did.
She got pregnant and shortly after her husband was laid off. She couldn't afford maternity clothes so she unzipped her jeans, poked holes in the stomach and threaded a shoelace through the holes to keep them tightened.
But she also wore his big shirts over top so that no one would see the jeans. And she had an obvious excuse.

but she had bigger, longer tops to cover that up too.

23. There's not a one of us who hasn't left their fly open at least once!
Now, I think Britney is skanky, but come on, the open fly is the least of her problems. Hey, take away the open fly, and she actually looks halfway normal!

24. It made me look big and blotchy
far from dignified.

Love the zipper. I had problems with getting zippers up when I reached a certain point of pregnancy, but I chose to *wear maternity clothes* instead of not zipping up my pants.

and I honestly didn't see the open zipper until Jmm bought it to my attention.

I can't stand seeing pregnant women wearing tight clothing.

26. Neither can I,
and this latest trend of exposing the pregnant belly - thank you, Kate Hudson - I find really offputting.

This old hippie is by no means a bluenose, but there are such things as good taste and a private sense of decorum, aren't there?

These women act like they invented reproduction.

When they know damn well that WE did......................

28. I don't mind tight clothing on pregnant women at all
Tight clothing is much more stylish than tent-style maternity clothing. I like the newer styles better, honestly.

What don't you like about tight maternity styles?

27. Leaving the zipper open for more room is no excuse when
the button at the top is done up and hers is. She just forgot.

That being said, who thought pregnancy was suddenly going to make HER look dignified?

32. Pregnancy doesn't make you look dignified...
But if you were dignified before, then you likely will be the same during that time. Some lucky women look extremely happy and radiant when they're pregnant...

to say -- about looking happy and radiant.

Dignified wasn't the right word.
