12. church's chicken is Popeye's with no spices but salt |

Owned by the same company, and they've switched to Popeye's grease. Blandest chicken on earth.

but Popeye's is damn good. Where else you gonna find acceptable dirty rice in a fast-food joint?

5. Unfortunately, we don't have one around here |
|
I grew up eating Kentucky Fried Chicken. That's what is most plentiful around here too. We also have Chesterfried Chicken, which is alright chicken wise, but the sides aren't as good.

I remember a place called Frenchies or Frenchy's in Houston that had some damn fine Cajun chicken and sides.

combo with cajun rice. The rice smelled horrible, I could not eat it - after I tasted it. Popeyes is getting sloppy -if they don't watch out Bojangles is going to take them out. Like other failed fast food resturants, (Howard Johnson's, Shoneys) You will see Popeyes converted to Mexican or Chinese Take outs if they don't get their act together soon. Prehaps those in your area are better than the ones around here in GA.

As a native of New Orleans now living in Austin, I eat at Popeyes whenever I get homesick (which is pretty often). There's a theory I have, having eaten at Popeyes for all these years: the closer you get to New Orleans, the better Popeyes' food tastes.
I find their chicken to be superior to the other chicken fast food establishments here in Austin. And for the record, I love their biscuits, red beans & rice, and chicken fingers (mild). Yum!

14. I lived in Dallas for 2 years... |
|
... Popeyes in Dallas does not use real cayenne pepper in their spicy chicken. Cayenne has a very distinctive flavor which is absent from their chicken once you leave the southeast Louisiana area.
