I'm in a political book slump.
Read Franken, Galbraith, Paine, Chomsky, Jon Stewart and Bugliosi. Don't want a long read, and frankly don't care for political discourse on economic subjects anymore (Boring!!!!!)
What/who should I seek out for a relatively entertaining, mildly (or grossly) amusing, tome with strong wit and some acerbity? My attention span is nowhere what it used to be, so books with a lot of indepth "must read every page" material would also not be much fun.
Get busy with recommendations!

by Julian Fellowes.
Smart, sharp, fun.
Also, "The Good Priest's Son," by Reynolds Price. Not 'ha-ha' funny, but sometimes sly. Mostly a joy to read because Price is such a brilliant writer.
