Just got back from the beach with my dog (after I took care of stuff)
Windy onshore, as usual, sunny,82, surf 3-5, water temp. 50-53( I didn't get wet)

I was able to let her off her leash
because nobody was out ,
where she chased the birds,
chased the ball,
went swimming
and now is pooped out on the love seat and me on the couch.

How is everyone?

1. Went for a short (2 mile) bicycle spin on the paved trail near my house
Am now enjoying chips and salsa!

3. nope, but she caught a shower before we drove back.
Sand fleas can sometimes be a problem and she was covered in sand.

4. Yes, they can. The best "retriever" I've taken to the beach was...
a Great Dane. He would fetch his tennis ball until I got tired of throwing it in the water!

5. she can retrieve balls, frisbees and scooby snacks
she is a small Skipper-key/ terrier mix,
very smart, my daughter got her for me
and in the house can toss me the ball

It was a pretty good summer solstice.
But she still can't catch fish for my supper.

7. I took my 70 lb dog to the woods this morning and he went in the lake
The smell wasn't good, so after that I gave him a bath and now he smells like herbal essence.

He's on the love seat, and I'm on the couch section he allows me to sit on.
