I am officially annoyed
I just did a windows update, and now I keep getting that popup window asking me to restart now or restart later. I push restart later, and it pops up again in about 3 minutes

GRRR

6. Which Windows do you have?
Mine has never done that. Though I am very outdated. I have Windows ME Millennium edition.

10. It might be a new thing to Windows
We will see because your post reminded me that I have visited Windows Updates in a while. I just downloaded four. Basically if it wont leave you alone then you will just have to reboot.

9. We used Windows ME for years and it caused regular crashes.
However, Windows XP is a much more robust program. Sorry you are having these problems. Sorry to tell you that ME is pretty outdated now (more than five years because it was the Millenium Edition -- now at least that many years old).

11. I never had any problems with crashes on it
its an old computer but it still works fine. So I save the laptop for work and school and use this one to play with.

14. I agree -- use ME as long as you can -- but my husband is a software
engineer and he was doing photo image stuff and other highly technical work. There was some difficulty installing XP but persevered and we really like it.

Also, we switched from dial-up to broadband, which made all the difference in the world.

Hope that helps!

15. Good evening to you, Radio_Lady!
How's your visit with your family going? I hope you're having a wonderful time after all the preparations you went through...

(And pardon me, KitchenWitch, for thread-jacking...)

17. It's very tiring, lots of kids, lots of meals, lots of fatigue --
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 11:24 PM by Radio_Lady
I stayed home while everyone went to the coast (Seaside, Oregon) yesterday and also bugged out of going to the Oregon Zoo today and took a two-hour nap. I'm feeling better tonight (is this Tuesday?) -- Tomorrow we're going to a water park in Clackamas, OR and Thursday there are plans for the Enchanted Forest down towards Salem, OR.

I'm trying to get to sleep every night by 10 PM because at least one of the four kids is usually up at 6 AM. They all know how to turn on the Cartoon Network and watch until I shower and dress.

I'm beginning to see why nature planned it for women to lose their childbearing abilities between 40 and 60 (and after). That was a GOOD thing. There are so many grandparents raising grandchildren full-time these days and I don't know how they do it in their "golden years."

Heck, I can't believe I actually raised five kids, two mine and three his (after his first wife died). I couldn't and wouldn't do it again, mostly because the ones who lost their mother at tender ages (13, 11, and 8) are now in their 40s and emotionally damaged to a very large degree!!!! No one can fill a mother's place, much less a stepmother.

When are you going on your trip? And where? Have a good time!
