A brief case was thought to be an explosive device. After some investigation from specialists, the bomb squad determined that it would be more prudent to detonate the device.
The 2005 Jehovah's Witnesses Conference was being held at Roberts Sunday, playing host to thousands of people from across the midwest. After precautions were taken, authorities alerted everyone in the area to get down.
An officer yells, "Fire in the hole," and the suspicious item explodes. Authorities investigated the now exploded object, to discover that it was containing bibles. The ANDROS robot was used to detonate the brief case, allowing officers to remain at a safe distance while the case was investigated.
