Okay, Help, is this a false (past drug use) memory? |
|
Didn't Jon Stewart have a show, taking a slot that was vacated by Dennis Miller on CBS, and did he really moon the camera on his last show? Can't really remember the last guest, but I do know, I didn't want to miss it...

2. No, this was after that and Dave Letterman was the producer |

it was the spot Craig Kilburn took over finally...first they tryed Alan Thicke, then they tryed Dennis Miller, then Jon (and he did something wrong, that caused it to be cancelled, can't recall what) Oh, and I think Dennis Hopper may have been the last guest...
It could have been the MTV one in syndication? I don't know anymore....Grrrr...

6. I think you're thinking of Tom Snyder twice |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 03:23 AM by undisclosedlocation
Tom Snyder got the show after Letterman's for Dave's first year or so on CBS. You'll recall that he had had the Tomorrow show after Carson up until the time Dave started Late Night. The Tomorrow show got cancelled by NBC either because of Snyder flipping off a guest or Snyder flipped off the guest because Tomorrow was cancelled, I forget which. So I think you're getting your hip young guy confused with your unhip older guy.
(The internets just say Tomorrow got cancelled to make room for Letterman and don't mention Snyder going nuts either before or after, so maybe I'm just having drug flashbacks, too. Neat trick since I never took any; I have to blame senility.:))
As mentioned above, Stewart had a show in the 90s on MTV. Between that and this, apparently he was writing comedy with Colin Quinn on Caroline's Comedy Hour; at least I seem to remember him reminiscing with Quinn about that (though it may have been before the MTV gig, of course).
PS: Dennis Miller never had a show on CBS; he did have a syndicated late night show that may have been on the CBS affiliate in your market; this was during Carson's last years. Carson mopped the floor with him.

7. I used to live on Adak, Alaska in the middle of the Aleutian islands |
|
We had a huge cliff behind our house that was full of bald eagles. People who owned cats and small dogs were warned to keep them inside.
I'm glad that cat escaped unharmed.
Great picture!
