Good Morning D.U. - how's your Tuesday panning out? |
|
It's just afternoon here - the sun is beaming brightly, the birds are singing, the window is wide-open and I'm in a shockingly good mood.
I hope that as you sleepy folk from far West rub the sleep from your eyes, you're all as happy as I. :hi: :bounce:

1. Good morning. Nice to read your happy message before |
|
getting thoroughly depressed by the latest outrage by our dear government.
How's that for optimism?:)
Seriously, I am on my first mug of coffee and feeling pretty good.
So what's up or are you always so chipper?

3. My mood swings dramatically with the weather |
|
We've had several days of bright sun-shine and warm temperatures.
I'm mostly a fairly merry person - except in winter, but am particularly happy for no particular reason.
Glad that you're feeling good, the first coffee can be so wonderful, just relaxing and feeling the caffeine start to flow through your veins.

8. The weather affects me a lot also |
|
Long stretches of no sunshine is the worst.
Today is beautiful here also. It's been in the 80s (high 20s for you) the past several days, generally with a nice breeze. Had a quick in-an-out storm yesterday.
Yes, I love my coffee in the morning!

Out of interest, do you have to take aluminium far, and do you get any recycling collected?
We have paper collected every fortnight, nothing else collected but plenty of large banks to deposit glass bottles &c.

our town doesn't do recycling and PA doesn't require deposits on cans/bottles - but there is a place in Wilkes-Barre PA (about 15 min ride) that will buy aluminum for a few cents per pound.
the down side is that they are only open during the week and the hours do not allow us to get there before or after work -- so about once a year, when we have a day off during the week, we'll load up the truck and drop of the cans.
newspapers are not an issue for us - we don't get a local paper at the house, our work places subscribe to the papers so we read them there or on-line.
no place locally for plastics either - but the town my partner works in does do recyling of plastic. She'll take a bag or two into work on recycling day and puts it out with the regular work trash/recycling at that time.

15. we had them boarded at a kennel |
|
and no matter how clean and sanitary a kennel is -- dogs always come back smelling like the kennel
we were going to give them a bath before we left for vacation, but then I realized we would still have to give a bath when we came back
it is a "job", but the weather is nice today. I already have a plastic wading pool set up in the sun to warm up the water. By noonish it should be at a good temperature. Much easier to wash them outside as opposed to getting into our shower with them...

That dates back a mere 700 years - and we've certainly been switching around viz a via the French recently.
As for the D.S.M. - most folk over here, on both left and right, hate both poodle-boy and king george - anything that damages them should be fun.

22. Short naps vary dramatically |
|
If you get some real sleep in them, they're supposed to be worth an hour of night-time sleep for a 10 minute nap - but if you just doze a bit (which is all I can ever do once I'm up) then you feel beastly afterwards.
Enjoy the weather, and I hope that your drought is alleviated (it goes against the grain for me to say I hope it rains).

I think my eye make-up caused it. My eye started bothering me last night and I woke up with a slightly swollen eyelid. The swelling has gone down considerably though. I think I irritated it last night by rubbing it way too hard and way too much!! I used to get styes as a child, too!
