Bikini-Wearing, Hot Dog Lady Can Stay In Business
<snip>

SHAPLEIGH, Maine -- Shapleigh's “Hot Dog Lady” has reached a compromise with town and state officials that will allow her to continue selling wieners along Mousam Lake in her trademark bikini.

Kit Schultze, known in Shapleigh as "The Hot Dog Lady," gets to continue serving her customers near Mousam Lake in her trademark bikini.

Officials Monday agreed to let Kit Schultze keep her cart at the intersection of Routes 11 and 109, as long as she parks her pickup truck somewhere else and sets up traffic cones around the cart.

Schultze, 26, who has been serving hot dogs from the same spot for 11 summers, claimed town officials didn’t like her bikini.

Selectmen in Shapleigh said their only concern was whether her cart posed a safety hazard.

1. Clumsy city government bureaucrats with nothing better to do
We used to be able to count on real conservatives to put a stop to this kind of silliness.

4. There were TWO (not bikini wearing) in Glenn Burnie
I have to say that neither one were there for just selling hot dogs. They stood out in any crowd especially in a crowd of construction/plumber trucks lined up to buy lunch from a dirt road near the old National Bohemian brewery.

8. I honestly never stopped to buy one
You didn't need to all the work trucks slowed down to take a look and basically created their own traffic jam. Remarkable.

11. I think it was a Nattie Bo brewery
Just off 695. They were there everyday and the line was at least 5 trucks deep at any time.

13. There used to be a Colt 45 Brewery in Lansdowne
on 695. My dad lived in lansdowne (just across the baltimore city line) for a while after he and my mom split up.

The air around there always smelled like piss because of said brewery

15. Okay it might have been Colt 45
I could have sworn it was Nattie Bo (blech)

I worked for a supply company and they traded off that account. If you went on a sales call you had to go in the afternoon and clear your schedule. This was back before the crackdown on Drunk driving so the brewery employees had all the free beer they wanted in the break room frig. They could openly drink all day (this is office workers I am talking about) so when the salesman went by it was  party time "Sure buddy sit on down let's have ourselves a few"

When they stopped that policy there was quite a bit of group withdrawal as you can imagine.
