Any Rusted Root fans out there? |

They are playing at a club here on Long Island on Thursday -- and I absolutely love some of their older material from the 1990's (their self-titled album, Remember, When I Woke). However, their newest album (Welcome to My Party) didn't really do it for me.
So my question would be -- is the band still worth seeing live? Or are they somewhat a shadow of their earlier selves?
Thanks!

1. I haven't heard their newer stuff. I did see them live back in '98 |
|
and back then, they were much, much better live than in the studio. This was when they joined the remaining members of the Grateful Dead, Hot Tuna, and many other bands for the Furthur Tour that year.
I say if the tickets aren't too expensive and it's not a huge ordeal to go, go for it, it would probably be fun.
I wouldn't go way out of my way to see them, but if they were playing somewhat local and it wasn't too pricey, I'd definitely go.

2. I saw them in the 90s when they opened for Dave Matthews |
|
They were great then. I don't know how they would be now.
