rodney dangerfield movie to be made...who should play rodney?
LOS ANGELES - Two of the producers of the Oscar-winning movie about soul singer Ray Charles are now turning their attention to another dead entertainer, Rodney Dangerfield, the comic famed for the signature phrase “I can’t get no respect.”

Hollywood trade paper Daily Variety reported in its Tuesday edition that producers Howard and Karen Baldwin will base their project in part on Dangerfield’s memoir “It’s Not Easy Bein’ Me,” which was published four months before he died last October, aged 82.

They also acquired life story rights from his widow, Joan.

---------------------

who will play the mighty funny man, alec baldwin? jamie fox? bruce willis? antonio banderas?

that's a tall order to fill.

1. I think Johnny Depp could pull it off
It would be a challenge but the result might be hilarious.

3. wow, tough call
Rodney is kind of a unique character...

I would go for somebody older, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

How about John Goodman?
Though, he'd need to slim down a bit.

15. He'd be perfect
There's alot of sadness in Rodney's life story, he could do both the comedy and the tragedy very well. And he's got buggy eyes like him. He's believable in the role.
