I, of course, have no idea, I swear, who on earth this Lula Renska alpaca is.

3. I barely remember that commercial...

But I saw a repeat on Nick at Nite over the weekend and it popped into my head this afternoon. When you search on images of Rula Lenska, that alpaca is the first one to show up. Weird, eh?

Nick at Nite over the uh, weekend. I am far too young to possibly remember Rula. :evilgrin:

Actually I saw Rula in Deutschland in black and white on our one station on AFRTS television in Augsburg and Stuttgart and Munich sometime between 1976 and 1979 - that's how I remember; also my mother rushing out to buy her stuff.

Here's another one: Juliette Prowse. She's got L'Eggs (I think).

8. LOL! My partner is 41, I'm 33

His sense of time is skewed. For instance, he was talking about a commercial for Quisp cereal involving a spaceman and a black and white cartoon that went right over my head, then he expressed surprise that I remembered the Rubik's Cube. WTF? Once he was shocked to learn that I'd had a collection of 45's.

I remember Quisp AND Rubik's cubes and I still have a collection of 45's and an inherited collection of 78's!

The first Bounty quicker picker upper ads, and Mr. Whipple and Prell shampoo and Jordache jeans, oh my!

2. Friends have ahsked me to show them LAHN-dahn...

so I'm going to wash my hair with some scuzzy shampoo that works as good as a SAL-ohn hotoil treatment. *sigh* They just don't make commercials (or cult figures) like that anymore. Rula rules!!!
