Cooking shows just don't do it for me.
Sorry. I love to cook, don't get me wrong, there's nothing I like better than playing around in the kitchen and experimenting, but watching it on TV? Meh. What's the point? You can't EAT anything they make!

1. Yeah...I understand.
I much prefer porn. Atleast you can re-create the scenes! HA!

2. LOL.
I guess you could certainly call cooking shows "food porn." :silly:

3. Yeah, but I get ideas for stuff I want to cook from them.
They beat the hell out of cable news!

5. Countdown's the only thing I watch on cable news.
I guess I can see the attraction, I'll watch house porn (HGTV redecorating shows) but only if I'm already doing something else and need some video wallpaper to have on in the background while I'm working.

8. You should check out Alton Brown
he has a show called 'good eats' on the food network.

I like it because he gives you more than just recipes. He goes into the entire history of the food items, and great explainations for why things work the way they do. He had a huge demo for 'why eggs can whip into a merenge' involving several thousand white balloons and numerous assistants.
