1. They are usually cleared in your browser |
|
and not on the OS itself.

2. Tools, Options....On Browser Menue On Firefox and Internet Options On Expl |
|
Then clear whatever you want and wait...
I don't like to clear everything because my passwords and usernames disappear from websites.

(1) Start button. (2) Settings. (3) Control panel. (4) Internet options. (5) General tab. (6) Save to your desktop and routinely delete cookies, delete files (including off-line content), and clear history.
Believe me, I've been doing this for a while now and I only need to run Ad-Aware and Spybot about once a week, because doing the above daily (or more) cleans pretty much everything out.

So I don't use those afformentioned programs anymore. None of those steps delete files I want right? I don't want any files in any temporary internet folders or anything. The only files I want are movies, music, and pictures I save to the folders in my C:/documents and settings area

This will not delete anything you've saved, but will just clear the caches and cookies.
Flakey_foont in post #8 gives you another way to access the same thing, but I gave you the steps I did because you can then create a desktop icon to make it even simpler to do this frequently.
Thanks for the tip on Spysweeper. I'll check it out. :)
