not crazy about brandy, although it's cool. can you do anything with it besides drink it straight out of the bottle? snifter required? rocks? isn't it fortified wine or something?

help me out here.

3. I'm with you, LOL
But it depends on the brand...sometimes brandy is good with eggnog, sometimes in food, sometimes it's best by itself in a snifter or a small cordials container.

2. If you celebrate Christmas time in any way
Save it for when guests come and put it with some egg nog.

4. Brandy Alexander
1 1/2 oz brandy
1 oz dark creme de cacao
1 oz half-and-half
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg

In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the brandy, creme de cacao, and half-and-half. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the nutmeg.

Serve in: Cocktail Glass

Me? I'd pour three fingers in a snifter and enjoy it.
What kind?

16. Me too.
I'd pour three fingers in a snifter and enjoy it.

I so rarely drink brandy, that'd be a nice treat.

9. That would lead to a nice dinner conversation:
"So, Dad, how did you like the brandy?"

"It was great, Son, I squirted it up my ass!"

18. Can you say flambe?
If you don't want to drink it, you can make lots of yummy dishes and sauces with it.

Come on, you know you want to flame up some Cherries Jubilee :)

CHERRIES JUBILEE

1 can (16-ounce) cherry pie filling
1/2 cup brandy
Good quality vanilla ice cream

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat cherries. In another small saucepan, heat brandy (it won't flame unless it is heated).

Spoon ice cream into goblets and spoon heated cherries over ice cream. Pour heated brandy over the warm cherries and ignite.

19. Yes, a snifter, straight up
warm it with you hand...yum

Or in hot chocolate to help you sleep
Or coffee to keep you awake, but nicely buzzed
or in cooking, it's great in pate` or cherries flambe

I have many brandies and have at least one a night, (unless I'm drinking whiskey)
