|
of greed which leads to the dark side.... But I wanted to share that I have one of these and I got it at the Best Buy employee discount.....which is still less than what Wal-Mart charges for it....wooo hooooo!! I love it!

13. Cable? What about DVD? It'll go to DVD before it goes |
|
to cable. I think cable is probably a year or so off. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117924556?categoryid=14&cs=1&s=h&p=0Network execs, who declined to comment because they didn't want to tip their hand for competitive reasons, said the most valuable title in the package is "Revenge of the Sith" because they'd be able to start playing it as early as early as summer 2008, following the movie's exclusive pay TV run on HBO.

20. I'm still pissed at Lucas about the first trilogy release on DVD |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 06:41 AM by mcscajun
Until he caves and releases the original trilogy on DVD, so that those of us who saw the original movie in the theatres way back when can have the movie we saw then, I'm not giving that bastard another penny in sales.
Original=the UN"improved" version, the one without extra scenes and "improved" effects.

2. fear...leads to anger....anger leads to hatred... |

or something like that. Yoda KNEW they shouldn't accept anakin, and he was right! but if Jar-Jar hadn't been such a maleable moron, it's possible none of this would have happened.

3. If Mace Windu hadn't been so untrusting of Anakin |
|
and would have allowed him to accompany him to arrest Palpatine, maybe Anakin never would have turned to the Dark Side.

8. Yep, that was major Jedi error #1 in that movie - |
|
it was OK for Samuel L. Jackson to not trust Anakin at that point, but he SHOULD have then had some other Jedi watch over / stay with Anakin as Sam went to arrest Palpatine! The way it went down, it was like, "I know you think you've been unfairly slighted by the Jedi Council, and I know Palpatine has always been your friend, and I'm going to arrest him, and I don't trust you -- why don't you just go chill by yourself while I do it? Maybe catch a movie, get a bite to eat or somthing? O.K., see you later!" DUMB DUMB DUMB.
Major Jedi error #2 -- Ewan McGregor / Obi Wan in the fight to the death with Anakin on that volcanic planet, winning, cutting off his legs even -- exchanging a few words with him -- then WALKING OFF without finishing him off?!?! What was that? Especially since finishing off Anakin at that point would have been merciful, not cruel! Come on, he's got no legs, he's got serious all-over burns, and he's face down on magma! And don't forget, Obi Wan wasn't walking off for revenge sake - make him suffer -- his little coloquy with Anakin before he sauntered off was like "You were supposed to be the chosen one!" -- all sorry-like and everything.
(Plus, of course, how could the entire mystical Jedi Council not have KNOWN that Palpatine was a Sith Lord? Hell, even Counsellor Troi could have sensed that one!)

I loved how everything in his character fell together. He is my favorite villain since Hannibal.

10. Yep he was pretty cool in a Zell Miller kind of way - |
|
but I still say that the fact the Jedi Council couldn't sense all his Dark Side force long before everything came to a head makes them look pretty weak in the great mystics department.
Come on, even Troi could have told them early on (in a vaguely Eastern European / gypsy accent: "I sense ... great evil.")

12. Maybe because Sidious was in command of the Dark Side |
|
he was able to do some sort of super Jedi mind trick and block the Jedi's ability to feel how involved with the Dark Side he was.
On starwars.com there are blogs that deal with all the inconsistencies within the movies.

17. That was always my question. |
|
Have someone watch Anakin--even if it's in secret--to make sure he does not follow Mace to arrest the Chancellor.
Either that, or revoke that DAMN rule that says Jedi cannot marry!

I will have to get the small one. I will probably make a wall display in my room. I am thinking of a Green Destiny, Eowyn's sword, this...and probably one other.
