Good movie use of music and scenes? |
|
I saw bottle rocket the other day - the use of 2000 man when Owen Wilson gets arrested was good. IN fact all Wes Anderson movies are good for song/scene correspondence.
All of wonderland had good music chemistry too.

Especially with the ending slide guitar solo from "Layla" playing as the bodies from the Lufthansa job were being discovered.

4. Wes Anderson has a knack for it, definitely |
|
Garden State was really good for it as well I thought.

5. Born Slippy/Trainspotting |
|
The use of Born Slippy at the end of Trainspotting perectly captures that mid 90's feeling for me.

I loved the music in that film, but then again I am a huge Ray Charles fan. They even played my favorite Ray Charles track "I've Got a Woman"---I didn't realize it was his breakthrough hit. They also had Lowell Fulson (bad ass blues guitarist---apparently Ray played piano for him when he was an unknown) stuff in there :bounce:

8. Tarantino uses music really well |
|

"Bang Bang" in Kill Bill and "Let's Stay Together" in Pulp Fiction were really nice.
On edit.....how can I forget the ear cutting scene in Reservoir Dogs....that was classic, too.

Especially that scene where The Dude, Walter, and Donny are riding up in the Dude's smashed-up car eating In-N-Out while Oye Como Va is playing in the background.
Or that famous line: "Man I've had a rough night and I hate the fuckin Eagles man!"

12. Tarantino is the current master....Bollywood films are exquisite at that. |
|
I love when songs match the mood...can't think of any non-Tarantino ones right now...
