Shitty start to the summer.. |

My soon to be 15yo daughter was just diagnosed with mono. She is not happy. Neither am I.

So I assume you are going to be treated prophylactically as well?

patch, but didn't say anything about the rest of us.
Frankly, I am more concerned about her friends. They all share sodas, etc. at the pool. That would really suck if they all came down with it.
My doc is awesome. My daughter had an ear infection that I took her to a doc in the box for on Saturday, but the antibiotic wasn't working, so I took her to my doctor yesterday. Since her strep was negative, she ran the mono spot, and it was positive.
I told her when she feels better she can certainly go to the pool and hang around, just not right now.
Poor little thing.

she'll be sleepin' all summer...I think that's the best thing to do...I've heard it makes you way tired. Sleep gives your immune system a chance to overcome the virus. This is the other deal...I think if you don't sleep it off and keep going around half-sick, you can develop that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, where you're tired for life.

9. I'm really sorry to hear that. I was sick all last week too |
|
It wasn't mono, thank goodness, but they did test me for it and strep. They say it was a nasty viral infection. Fever, chills, throat so raw that it got to where I couldn't swallow.
Aside from being sick, I did enjoy losing 8lbs.
I hope she's feeling better soon.
