Curiosity killed the cat.
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 05:42 PM by evlbstrd
Or should have.
My cat, Boogerhead, got curious about the attic fan the other night, and Thwang! It sent him flying. He has a badly bruised mouth, and we couldn't find him for two days. I just brought him home from the vet, who says it's amazing his jaw wasn't broken or dislocated. And that he has truly earned his name.
Now I have to feed him mush and give him antibiotics twice a day.
But he's home and alive!

1. They can be pretty dumb about moving objects, can't they?
We have one cat who insists on sleeping under the rocking chair in our front room. One of these days, pow!

4. We had a cat that liked to sleep under the car.
My wife ran her over without knowing it. All nine gone in a snap. Actually, a crush.

5. Yeah, we had one that actually crawled under the hood!
That was one horrific scene. I was only 6, but I remember it clearly.

6. That must have been chilling!
I was afraid of what I'd find in the attic!

7. There wasn't much left that was recognizable as my cat.
Yeah, it freaked me out. No more outdoor cats for me!

11. Ironically, mine's an outdoor cat.
And got hurt indoors. Now we can't let him out, and he's not happy.

2. Hi there, evlbstrd! I'm glad to hear your cat is alive, and soon will be
healed...Looks to me as though he's just used up one of his nine lives! Cats will go anywhere, won't they? Maybe he'll stay away from the attic fan from now on; you can always hope!

What happened to your bridges watercolor avatar? I didn't see it...and I like it!

3. Eight to go!
Photobucket says my bandwidth is exceeded for the month. I haven't looked for a new pic host yet.

My cousin's cat loved strained beef baby food... is that the kind of mush you mean? I'm glad Boogerhead didn't become Zerohead!

12. That's what it looks like.
But it's a high calorie vet formula soft food. I have to add water to make a mush. He can't use his mouth yet, so he has to shove his face in it and lap it up as best he can. And then it's all over his face.
He definitely lived up to his name.
