I listened to my son's bands CD and I'm pissed off
They played a house show locally on Monday and it was implied that I shouldn't go by both my wife and son. I would have been the only old guy packed into a basement with a bunch of teens. I don't fucking care. I like the CD, I like the band. It's falls into a style of music that I have listened to before I had kids. I've pushed my son to do more with his music for years and now it's at a point where he is doing some great work both on solo projects and with this band. The next time they play anywhere within a 4 hour drive I'm going.

And if anyone wants to here them they play in the Boston/New England area fairly frequently. Here's a link to their music.

2. before you go see them play

give your son a copy of Lynyrd Skynrd's song Was I right.

Maybe he'll rethink whether he would like for you to see him play.

and if not, f*%k 'im - go anyway! :7

:hi:

edit - well maybe not; part of that song is about a papa who didn't support his son's musical dream, which doesn't apply. But part of it is about a son who didn't get the chance to make his papa proud of him, so that was the part I was thinking of
