Well, I just got my 2nd job in as many weeks.
Long story short, my theme park ticket-taking job was too much of a burden on my lifestyle and my stress level, and most importantly, my health. I have developed chronic foot problems because of this job. I have to see the doctor on Friday. But luckily, I picked up a NEW job where I get to work on my OWN terms and drive around in my car and not stand around for 8 hours straight!!

I got a job delivering papers on the weekend for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. It's basically a job for pocket money, which is all my parents ask me to do, if I'm going to live with them for most of the summer. All they want is for me to not ask them for money, and I'm willing to oblige that. The good thing is that I only have to work 2-3 days per week, delivering only 2-3 routes per week, driving in my car, listening to the radio. I make 52 dollars a weekend to start out, but I can move up to an 80 doller shift, and I can eventually work some weekdays until I go back to college on August 21.

BTW, I quit my previous job at that Shakopee, Minnesota theme park, whose advertising theme song is "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark, charges ridiculous prices for admission, is one of the most overrated theme parks in the country, and whose name shall rename nameless.

So now I feel like a new man. I don't have supervisors coming out to me every 15 minutes yelling at me to stop leaning on the turnstiles, even though it's the only way I can take pressure off my feet, and that if I don't I'll go insane with the pain.

So, here's to me!!!:toast:

1. Sounds good
I just started training for my part time today (working at a dept. store) which I may or may not keep during the fall (I'm a college student too). Here's to new jobs: :toast:

2. Oh God
Congrats on the new job, but that woodchipper! Wow, that's a rare combo of disturbing and hilarious, especially with the quote. Did you make that?

so I don't have to walk half-way down the front walk in my sleepshirt in front of the entire neighborhood? (Or is that your plan?)

I don't blame you--Valleyfair has got to be hell on wheels for work.

Welcome to St. Paul!
