http://chicago.craigslist.org/muc/80420528.html"Female singer looking for other musicians (guitarist(s), bassist, drummer, and keyboardist) to start a band with. Here is a pretty comprehensive list of what I am influenced by: The Doors, Tommy James And The Shondells, various '60s Psych Pop groups (for ex. lots of stuff on the Nuggets Box Set), early '70s George Harrison (All Things Must Pass esp.), Badfinger, The Raspberries, cheesy ‘70s pop songs (like Sky High by Jigsaw and Magic by Pilot), ELO, David Bowie (I love all of his ‘70s stuff except for Young Americans), Iggy Pop/The Stooges, Suzi Quatro (she is definitely the female musician that I look up to the most), Sweet (Can you tell that I love Chinnichap Glam? Sweet rules, and Mud is another group of theirs that I think had some really killer singles), T.Rex, Roxy Music/Eno, Gary Glitter (I love how the drums sound on his songs, and anything with chants, foot stomps, and hand claps is alright by me), Sparks, the New York Dolls, various Junk Shop Glam Groups (check out the Glitterbest and Velvet Tinmine comps if you want to know what I mean, in general, they are really catchy songs that have lots of punch and often have chants and hand claps/foot stomps in them), The Runaways and Joan Jett solo (Ms. Jett is another female musician that I really admire and I’ve been told that I kind of sound like her when I sing), The Stranglers (their pre-‘81 output only because I think they suck after that), The Buzzcocks, Magazine (esp. Real Life), The Jam (’77-’79 esp., although there is stuff from after that time that I like as well), The Damned (esp. their stuff from 1979-1982), Adam And The Ants (esp. love the tribal meets glam drumming on their early stuff), and then throw in some late ’70s Power Pop like: Pezband, Shoes, The Nerves/ The Plimsouls, and Cheap Trick. If you share any of these influences, feel free to contact me. Thanks!"
I guess I should add "single". She even mentions "Magic" by Pilot.
