Did anyone here actually PASS the President's Physical Fitness test? |
|
My wife tells me she did (arm hang NOT pull ups) but even the best athletes in the schools I went to failed the test. I never saw or heard of anyone actually passing it.
Anyone?

|
Now that they want info on 16-18 year olds I bet they'll want to enlist the fit kids first.

7. Pull ups pushup situps "shuttle run" 1/2 mile run |

I think there was a rope climb, some other stuff.
Really high standards were set and you couldn't screw any ONE or you failed completely.

I could really imagine Richard Nixon doing this stuff, for instance. :sarcasm:

4. Fuck, no. I was a complete failure taking that crap. |
|
Pull ups...rope climbing...and the ever popular softball throw. I HATED that stupid shit...because I failed. And when you throw a ball like a girl like I did...and have the other boys in PE watching and laughing...well, that really added to the "fun"

I got the funky little patch thing and certificate somewhere. I think there were only about 5 people in my class that didn't.

And easily too. Quite a few kids at my school passed. My hardest event was the arm hang where the girls just kept themselves pulled up in one spot for as long as they could.

We had a kid in my class who weighed about 50 lbs. I forget the exact number, but he did over 500 pullups. We were in awe. I think I barely made it to the minimum, which I think was 50.
