It's better than Toxicity, and infinately better than Steal This Album, and it's still better than a lot of mainstream crap.

More often than not, I usually have to soak in an album, too, but not with this one. I loved it immediately. I started it on track 1, and was never once tempted to skip any tracks. I'm pumped for Hypnotize now.
My one complaint is the sharp increase in lead vocals for Daron Malakian. He's alright, and I like their harmonies, but leave the lead for Serj - his voice is one of a kind, and Daron's sounds a bit whiny and can get annoying, IMO.
Oh, and I never understood why "Steal This Album" is so hated. I felt there were tracks on there that could've easily replaced a few on Toxicity. "Streamline" anyone? That songs blows my ass out every time.
P.S. Take note of my sig line - funny you asked about this album since I just put that in about an hour ago!

Can't wait for that new Tool album - they better not fucking drag us along for months, but I'm sure they will...fuckin' assholes.
MJK's scream is unparalleled in the whole music scene - it's so pure it almost sounds like he's singing sometimes. He's the shit.
