14. You can still find them, but you have to go straight to the farms
further North. I'm in St. Louis and know a farmer in Illinois who raises them. I have to go to his place and help him bag the crawfish, but hell it's worth it to me.

15. I know several people who farm them, but they are more
expensive when they are out of season and do not taste as good!!

21. Apparently, in Illinois the season goes a little longer b/c of the
climate, but I have never tried this guy's crawfish before. I usually buy them from a place in Baton Rouge and have them shipped here, but I could not get them in Baton Rouge this late in the year.

We shall see soon enough. Regardless, we will have plenty of food. That's the coonass way.

I live in Wisconsin and went to school in Louisiana, and miss crawfish very badly.

22. Cobdon, Illinois, there is a farmer named Bob Boyd
there who started farming them a few years back. It is in Southern, Illinois. I got his name from my fish monger.

27. You can order them during theseason and have them shipped
from Louisiana. You pay about double the price, but it's worth it. We also do a giant crawfish boil for the LSU Alumni Associaton in Missouri every May. I have a friend with a private plane who flys down and picks up the crawfish for that.

You should seek out the LSU Alumni association near you (I assume you are an LSU grad with your name). Many of the chapters have an annual crawfish boil.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

I can't wait for football season. Do you ever go back for games?

28. The alumni assoc. is non-existent in Wisconsin
I tried to start it, but, was unable to.

As for football, I haven't in 2 years. My brother was a member of the football team from 2000-2002, so I went to a game each of those seasons. I will most likely not be able to go again until 2007, but there isn't much I can do.

29. That's a bummer.
My dad is in Kenosha and he is a giant LSU fan. That is a start to your Alumni Association. I'm surprised there are not more alums in around there.

The last game I went to was the Sugar Bowl (we actually did not go to the game, but tailgated and watched from a bar in New Orleans), but I plan on getting to at kleast one this year. This team is going to be scary good I think.

30. Well my brother is back up her, along with his wife
Other than that, there really aren't a whole lot of us.

The last game I went to was the cotton bowl. Talk about disappointment! But, I do agree that our team will be scary good.

11. I'm Crawfished out
Been eating em since March. But, we got us a Shrimp Berl this evening on the Bayou Cher!

For the tourist in you, Crawfish are going for 7 bucks a pound in the Quarter. Just a teeny tiny pricey..

18. The Captive Tourist Market
Just has to eat crawfish when in Louisiana. For a person who has never eaten them before a pound will last them an hour. Yeah, the prices are definitely profit driven.
