Should people who put too much garlic in food be jailed? |
|
Is there such a thing as too much garlic?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I love garlic as much as the next person, but when you have a sister whose cooking is really nothing BUT garlic and cheese (with traces of other ingredients added in as 'flavoring'...chicken, veggies, whatever) I'm afraid your theory is incorrect.
It's actually painful. x(

15. I have an aunt who's stomach is "sensitive" to garlic |
|
Sensitive in the way that Hedges'stomach is sensitive, if you get my drift. ;-)
So yes, there is such a thing as too much garlic, particularly if you are in close quarters. :o

17. I still disagree! Any recipe that calls for garlic |
|
can use HEADS of it.
:-)
Of course, some things that don't call for garlic, like jell-o, orange juice, and cake frosting, CAN have too much garlic.
But anything that can take a smidgen of garlic can take entire bulbs of garlic.
In my opinion.
There's a great restaurant in LA that is all garlic based food, with the motto "We season our garlic with food". It's WONDERFFUL!!!!!!

I've put more than one head of garlic in dishes before, all chopped up and quickly roasted.
Best dish I've made in months!

We use garlic in EVERYTHING except maybe ice cream. And, i've considered it!
My DOG will eat garlic off a spoon.
The plus side, however, is that it keeps vampires away. I've got proof. There hasn't been a single vampire sighting in my town since we moved in 26 years ago! So, how cool is that?

which is why a lot of chinese food has a lot of onion. Garlic has many of the same properties. Remember though, garlic is best raw.

Please, what is this "Too much Garlic" thing?
There's No Garlic, then "I taste a little Garlic" next "Mmmmm...Grarlic add so much to good food" all the way to "Mama Mia! That'sa nice-a GARLIC!!"
Garlic is essential to good health.
"And scorn not garlic like some that think, it only maketh men wink and drink and stink" Sir John Harrington, 1609
"Gilroy is the only place in the world where you can marinate a steak just by hanging it on the clothesline." Will Rogers
