3. No. Yell, "Whipping Post" |
|
Remember all those Hawkwind fans that would do that at every concert they went to, no matter who was playing? Back in the mid to late 70'?
Man, those people needed to be slapped. The Professor

6. Havens talked between songs |
|
said he remembered the 50s, watching Superman:
~ "and they said 'Truth, Justice and the American Way' and it kind of confused me because you know, I had always thought that truth and justice WERE the American way"

5. Nah. Get up on stage, and warn the audience to avoid... |
|
...the brown acid. In full Wavy Gravy dress.
The joke will be funny (or maybe not) to only those over 40 or so...

9. He's a folk singer who was at Woodstock. |
|
The thing that I remember about him was that he strummed his guitar really fast and sang 'Freedom' about 700 times in a row.

15. I saw an interview with him in which he said he sang that "song" because |
|
he had run out of songs to sing.
He had gone onstage before he was ready...the opening act was late so the organizers asked him to go on until the band arrived.
They kept him out on stage filling time until he finally had nothing else to sing. So he just started strumming and saying "freedom" and finally decided to just walk off stage in the middle of it because otherwise they would have kept him out there.

13. No... But Count The Number Of Times Someone Yells "Wooo!" |
|
... whenever there's a good guitar solo. There's always ONE in the crowd who will do it... usually at some inappropriate time. Like right in the MIDDLE of it... but seldom at the end.
Why do people do that? Are they REALLY trying to display their admiration of the performer's skill? Or are they grandstanding and trying to stand out in the crowd? Are they trying to come across to their friends as some sort of aficionado of whatever it is they were WOOO!-ing at.

There were no "Woo's!" in the 60's and 70's:shrug:

21. What a pleasant thing to say! |
|
No woohoos in the 60's and 70's? Hmmmmm. Took too much of the brown acid, did you?
As a musician, I enjoy the woohooing people do. I consider them just happy to be there and moved by the music. You sound like on of those who needs to see all your shows at the Bluebird, where you get arrested if you breath too loudly.
You non-Woohooers sound like a boring, sour-faced bunch to me, but I'd never call you DUmb Shits. That would be insulting to stupid shit....
