My Mom is a PIP!!

Well maybe a one night Pip.

Gotta story to tell.

We just got back from Las Vegas and we had tickets to see Gladys Knight at the Flamingo.

We're talking FRONT ROW CENTER seats. Needless to say I was in heaven. Gladys was sanging and we're talking SANGING her rear off. I was groovin and movin' and Miss Knight was feelin the vibes and sang to me a LOT during the show.

My mom is a big fan of Gladys and the Pips and she was crying so many times like when she sang "Your the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me" which I know she was thinking about my step-dad who was tearing up himself as well.

There is this part in her show when her brother (one of the Pips) "Bubba" Knight joins in the show and just cracks every one up. During "Heard It Through the Grapevine" he comes out into the crowd and GETS DOWN. Well, he puts that mike in front of my mom and she SANGS it!!! I'm so proud of her. I've been a Supreme and now shes been a Pip!!!

If you ever go to Vegas SEE this show. It's fantastic!!

When Gladys said "Where's gonna take you on the midnight train" my mom broke in the cheers and Gladys just beemed and when into "Midnight Train to Georgia".

My step dad still can't get over how I got these seats. He kept saying "did you know someone that was 'family' (gay) that got us them seats?".

God I love my parents.

7. Well it could have happened.

If I had not met my husband, my mom would have been quick to "pimp" me out to get married.

She loves her some gay bars. There were times in San Francisco when I was single and she and my aunt would be scanning the crowd for some guy to try and hook my up with.

Let's just say we had diffent taste in men.
