Should I be worried since I am unmarried and the guy lives in Michigan?

1. Don't get yourself too worked up until you know for sure. |
|
(I know, easier said than done). The important thing is the world won't end and it'll be okay if you are.

2. Don't worry 'till you have cause to--oh, LOL, same thing happened to me. |
|

In my case, we were in different countries. (I can say LOL *now*--it's been six years!)
Also...what are you going to do if you are?
That's probably the first thing you should think of...

11. Oh my sweet jeebus, LOL, that's Shah Rukh Khan! |
|
He's a Bollywood actor...and in terms of recognition, the biggest movie star in the world (if you count, you know...everywhere but the USA)....
He's like a mix of Cary Grant, Yul Brynner, and Charlie Chaplin.
I could go on, but then I'd be a huge dork, and you'd be sorry you asked!
:hi:

8. I already know I will have the baby and keep it. |
|
I am not sure how involved the dad will be able to be in the kid's life because he is having some problems right now but I could never abort or give it up for adoption.

If you ever want to pm/talk/whatever, let me know... I had the same exact thing happen, like I said. My kiddo just turned six.
One thing--don't make things harder than they are. If he wants to be involved, he will be--whether he's where you are, or not. If he's a jerk about it (like my ex), that's fine too. Take it as it comes and try not to worry in advance.

15. He is scared but determined to be in the child's life. |
|
I have told him that I am not expecting him to be there all the time but that I would like him to be there. He has finally accepted my insisting on NOT getting married over this. He wanted to right away but I put my foot down and said no way am I going to get married just because I am pregnant (if I am). A child deserves two parents who want to be together for reasons other then the child. That way there is no hidden resentment of anyone. You know that "if it was not for that stupid woman getting..." type of thing.

Sounds like you are getting off to a good, level-headed start. You're going to be just fine. Don't forget to let us know if you are or not!

4. How late are you? You can take the tests pretty quickly. |
|

5. I have taken a test...the thing was all pink but no lines. |
|
it was actually pretty weird.
But I am about a week late and I feel the same way I did with the last one physically...emotionally though...I am pretty okay with it. Just concerned about the dad being so far way.

7. What do those results mean? Hmmm. With baby #3 I took 5 |

pregnancy tests before I believed it. It was a bit of a surprise - happy surprise but not expected.
Best of luck.

23. Some "pro-life" places also test for free |
|
You might have to listen to their propaganda, but they should be glad you want to have and keep the baby. They might even give you some resources for help if you have the need.
Good luck!

25. After I decided to keep my kid, the pro-lifers sent me stuff... |
|
I don't know how they got my name, but they sent me a little plastic fetus (like, "this is your baby at 8 weeks" or whatever) and a little baby outfit--among other things.
Even though I was keeping my kid I was furious. I mean, sending a friggin baby outfit? That seemed very wrong somehow.
Of course, they didn't wait nine months and send me any diapers/money, though. :eyes:

24. Got a basal body thermometer? |
|
Because if you take your temperature at first waking, that means no getting up, no going to the loo, no drinking water, and the temperature is at 98 or slightly higher, that is an indication you could be pg. When your temperature drops a bit, you can relax, your cycle is on its way!
I had to do basals when I was trying to make baby 40'under and it was a reliable measure for me.
