Are there any folks who didn't like the new Batman? |
|
I haven't been down here to see stuff. But, DU'ers have always been the best Movie Critics!
Should I see it this weekend? What's the worst you could say about it?
thanks! koko

3. Okay...Here's the Deal. I liked the "intellectual Batman's over the |
|
"Cartoon Batmans." I like George Clooney's Batman the best. The review in my hometown newspaper by a reviewer I DO NOT LIKE...said that "this Batman" goes back to the original comic strip and "peels away the layers of nuance" that the other movies "have suffered." I read that review and said: "No WAY!"
But, I need an escape...so if this new Batman has a great plot then I will go to see it.

4. It's just a damn good movie, that's all there is to it. |
|
Lifelong Batman fan here, and VERY picky about the character. This movie is so good, it finally exposes the Burton films for the overproduced silliness that they were. I won't even mention what this one does to the Schumacher efforts.
It's not just a good Batman movie, or even a good superhero movie. It's just a good movie, period. Acting, cinematography, design, script...all are first-rate.

7. The "Tumbler" Batmobile is mind-blowingly awesome |
|
For once, someone came up with a super-high-tech, kickass ride that is fully worthy of the Dark Knight.
I loved the scene where the cops are chasing Batman, and one asks, "Tell me what kind of car he's driving!" And all the other cop can say is, "It's a... black... tank." I laughed out loud at that.

9. Sounds Good! But does it have a plot? I like the "cool" stuff like the |
|
new "Batmobile" and stuff...but does it make sense..have a plot? Seems like a mixed review..but those of you who saw it liked it and one said it was better than the Tim Buton ones...but I love Tim Burton's quirky thingy...so I'm not sure. If it has "plot" and great "gadgets" it sounds like what I want to see...but I gotta have both. Does this one have it? I know...I'm picky...but fun is good too..without having to think too much.

14. Oh, yes, this one has a plot |
|
This one probably has more plot than all the other four movies combined. This one actually has an engrossing story that will make you care about Batman AND Bruce Wayne.
And if you liked the gadgetry of the first movie, then you will go crazy over the stuff in this one. Not only is it the best designed ever, but it all actually looks like it could work in real life, and the creation, manufacture, and purpose of his tools are actually explained.
