1. Here's what I've been listening to lately
Stuff from Billy Corgan - The Future Embrace: I was looking forward to this one, but it sounds like one of those albums that bores me. One review said it's a bad Cure immitation, and I was thinking that before I read the review. I read the reviews because I didn't like what I heard, but wanted to see if I was missing something - haven't heard the whole album.

Angela Ammons - self-titled: Very promising debut. Above average lyrics. Her voice sounds a little thin here, but maybe she'll grow. She's working on something new, and I'm interested.

Checked out Missy Higgins, and thought she was pleasant but a little too dull to buy.

Heard White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan and Courtney Jaye - Traveling Light again. They are great!

Recently ordered Alexz Johnson - Songs from Instant Star and Marion Raven - Here I Am. I'll love them both, and I hope I don't have to wait longer for the Marion Raven import.

More orders to go when I get the money.

4. Machine Go Boom
Amazing pop band from Cleveland - picture the angriest, most well-read five-year-old boy ever, and he's way into the Pixies and Mercury Rev.

8. NIN- With Teeth
Of *course*, I have to get my daily dose of Alice in Chains... but other than that, I have been listening to "With Teeth" constantly since we got the album. Just wow, man. Wow.

And another favorite, a few years old but great- Beck, "Sea Change". Very mellow, and beautiful. Good for any time. I usually listen to it when I'm a little depressed, or when I get angry and need to calm down. Always works.
