anyone here own a mitsubishi outlander? or a Hyndai Tuscon? |
|
im in the market for a Used Car. small SUV class so i can haul my stuff to and from school without making multiple 4 hour trips... and other cargo reasons.
so anyone had any of these? i know the Tuscon is kinda new... but the outlander has been out a few years.
how do these handle in the snow?
how reliable are they?
would you reccommend buying one?
anything i should know before i look at one of these more seriously?
thanks for your help.

I know you didn't mention it, but the Honda CRV is comparable to the Hyundai Tuscon..I have one and I love it. It is four wheel drive so I expect it to do well in the snow..I'm originally from CA but have my car now in New York, which is a big reason I bought this vehicle. (The car just came in April, so I bypassed the snow until next winter) Hondas have a reputation for being reliable..the SUV gets 16 mpg in my area (which is a bit stop and go..)
When buying my car, I slightly looked into the Tuscon (the same dealer who sold Hondas also sold Hyundais)..he told me I could get a bit more "extras" (CD players and whatnot) for the money with the Hyundai, but I didn't need or want any of that, so the Honda was my choice.

3. ive been looking at hondas on and off for a few months. |
|
and i dont really know what it is about it... but theres something about them. anything old enough to be in my price range feels... a little tinny and too light. they made the new ones beefier, but i cant afford those. ive considered em, infact they were the first ones i looked at.

2002 is the year they changed them? But you're exactly right, any older than that and they do have a tin-can like appearance..
I'd expect the Hyundais to be very comparable..I think the side curves in the body of the car look pretty good too, definately a worthwhile alternative.
