the sun has set over the hills but above it is still sky blue, towards the horizon and behind the trees to the north I can see the purple and orange strands of what was once a mackeral sky, the shadows grow deep without artificial illumination and I hear the last songbird before the night...

the darkness approaches quickly and silently as always...
