Ugh, this was a bumper sticker I could have gone without seeing.
"Those who trade in their guns for plows will end up working the fields for those who don't."

Um, why don't you just come right out and say, "I'm an ignorant asshole who wants to own slaves!"

1. That was really kind of funny
because I have both guns and plows and know how to use both. If an asshole like that thinks that he could either force me to work for free to feed his thieving ass just because he, too, has a gun, when he would step onto my land the surprise would be sudden and very, very loud.

2. I don't see it as pro-slavery at all; very anti-slavery, in fact
It's still somewhat ignorant, but the guy is saying that without protecting yourself, you will end up as a slave.

Replace "guns" with "education" or "ambition" or "following one's dreams", and it works the same.

Of course, if EVERYONE traded their guns in for plows, then we might be doing pretty well!

6. Context
The Rebel flag, "judges soft on crime should be shot" bumpersticker and other similar sentiments accompanied the bumpersticker I mentioned. Trust me. While your interpretation is nice, it was not his intent.

3. And What, Pray Tell Is Wrong With That
What the sticker is saying is that if you do not have the means to defend your liberty it will be taken from you. If you doubt that statement to be true you are a fool, no more and no less.

7. Context

I shouldn't have posted so quickly without adding the context of the bumper sticker. It had nothing to do with defending your liberty.

4. Evidently a anti-Christian
Since the point is against what the Bible says.

5. I read this signature the other day.
Cum catapultae proscriptae erunt tum soli proscripti catapultas habebunt
When catapults are outlawed, only outlaws will have catapults
