Just arrived today, unscathed after a 3-week sea voyage; From the BBC Radio Collection, Simon Shhama, "A History of Britain". Volume 1, 'At The Edge of the World' covers 3000BC - AD1603 in 4 cassettes. Volume II. 'The British Wars', 1603 - 1776 in 6 cassettes. Volume III, 'The Fate of Empire', 1776 - 2000. 28 hours 30 minutes total playing time. Yahoooooooooo!
You can not imagine how this pleases an old man with failing near-vision eyesight and a newfound interest in history. I spend a lot of time on the road in Jesus-land too, so my radio is worthless.
Time to go leave a very positive feedback for a seller in England.

1. Ebay has been good to me too |
|
Also, look into Sirius or XM radio. I have Sirius and love it. Favorite channels are 17, 38, 70, 143, 144 and Raw Dog. http://www.sirius.com/http://www.xmradio.com/

That's the only way I can afford Prada shoes and a Kate Spade hand bag! :)

3. It's great to hear someone else enjoys eBay :) ... |
|
We've been selling and occasionally buying on eBay for over 6 years. Over the years I've even taught quite a few folks (often disabled) how to use eBay for the same thing. :) A few years back I was a part of an "Art As Protest" that made eBay reconsider a few changes they were going to initiate (it's a great way to get word out about issues imo since the press loves to cover eBay stuff).
That set sounds wonderful! I personally have always had a thing about Revolutionary War era myself. B-)
Although there are negatives it truly is a pretty great place if you use your head and cover your backside. If you can't find it anywhere else, check ebay for a bit and it will probably show up. If you have extra stuff or your own artwork you want to sell list it on ebay and you'll often get prices that are better then what you'd get at a garage sale or local shop. IME it's a great way to suppliment ones income a bit (or even make a decent living) that can be done as time and physical abilties allow.

5. Shipping Time - Not Air Mail |
|
I bought it back around the first of the month, it took 3 weeks to get here. The shipping, which was 5 pounds, was by "land transport" which in this case meant it found its way into a container that then probably made the passage between Liverpool and New York. Some things really haven't changed much in the last 400 years.
