My first Mormon missionary visit since I've lived in this house
I've lived here for 6 years and this is the first since then! I always assumed it was because this is a pretty religious area.

They were very nice young men. I thanked them for their time but said I don't believe in the Mormon story. We talked a bit about the LDS religion - I had a good friend growing up who was LDS so I actually know quite a bit about it - and then they talked to my husband about the car he was working on for a bit. They said if we ever need any kind of help with any personal issues to call them. That's very nice but I can't imagine I'd call a 19-year-old virgin if I was having marital problems. But it was a nice offer.

When they left, my daughter said, "Who were those boys?" I said they were Mormons and she said, "What did they want?" I said they wanted to save us. She said, "Oh. They didn't say please."

lol

1. It's wicked and venial I know
But in my experience Mormon missionaries are always pretty damn good-looking young men, and I cannot help but chat to them.

It helps that I know more than just a dash of Theology, and know a wee bit about the L.D.S. - also I can say whatever I like, because they're never going to be rude or tell me to shut up.

4. Whew, I've had some involved "discussions" online...
with them. I know more about their religion than I want to!

5. Great line:
"I can't imagine I'd call a 19-year-old virgin if I was having marital problems."
