If a cat had a litter in April, could it be pregnant again right now?

1. I have no idea, but if so, that's one frisky feline :) |
|
I don't know if it's possible or not. If so, poor kitty :(

2. Yeah, "poor kitty" is why I need to know. |
|
I figure if her litter was born some time in April, they should no longer be so dependent upon her. So it ought to be safe to trap her, right?

Nursing the litter generally suppresses the return to cycling but the average female cat is back in heat about a month after delivery of the litter. If she has access to a male cat, she will likely become pregnant before she is finished weaning the current litter. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&A=1738&S=1&SourceID=42

5. According to my vet, and much to my horror, |
|
momcats can get pregnant even while they're nursing; their hormones don't work the same as in humans. If she had kitties 2 months ago, they'd be weaned by now anyway, so if there are tomcats about, yeah, she's probably had a roll in the hay or two.

6. I'm going to have to trap her, and find someone to foster her. |
|
I can't do it myself. :(
Thanks, kedrys.
