DUers: Dish or Direct TV: Which one is NOT Murdoch Owned?
Edited on Sat Jun-25-05 11:38 PM by NEOBuckeye
It seems that I am probably moving out on my own in a week or so. I gotta keep Adult Swim going at least, and the TW monopoly here costs an arm, a leg, plus my firstborn. At least if I'm going to pay those things to the satellite services, I'm sure as hell not giving them over to that snooty old RW bastard, Rupert Murdoch.

Anyone know which one I can make a monthly sacrifice to in good conscience?

1. I switch to DISH because I did not want to be giving any more..
money to Murdoch (who owns DIRECT);

however, I think that I really do like DISH better - I seem to get more funky little channels.

I love Free Speech TV with the INN report, Liberty News, Democracy Now, and special airings of 'God in Government' and 'Liberty Bound.' It is progressive television, and is on #9415.

I heard, however, that DIRECT has now added it.

DISH has Sirius music channels, which I really love.

3. Thanks, friend!
I couldn't remember which was which from a "Blue" standpoint. If I gotta have TV, I'm at least going to do my very best not to contribute to the very regime that is delusionally bent on global conquest.

4. Darn, guess you get screwed either way then.
It figures. Well, I'd still rather not give my money to that old fool Murdoch.

7. Amen.
I guess I'm still glad I switched.

Murdoch is just TOO big for his britches.

8. Directv has Link channel. It has many great Dem shows on.
You can't beat the service with Directv. I've tried both, but I prefer DTV.
