Humidity....ick.
It's going to be another steamy day here in Michigan where people don't deal with it very well.

I think I'll "clean" the basement...in other words...DU.

Have a great day DU! :hi:

1. It's humid here too.
:hi:

I thought it was Iowans who couldn't stand the hot sticky weather.

29. We need a pool in our house - even the air conditioning isn't killing
the humidity today.

Hey, did you get any of the freaky storms this weekend? Water in the basement - thunder and lightning - dogs barking and running about - crazy

5. I don't live there anymore, but you don't know the real
meaning of humidity until you have been in South Florida.

6. I would agree with that.
I grew up there. Nasty, nasty humidity, the kind of weather that makes you stick to the sidewalk if you're not careful.

8. I lived in both S FL and MO.
I found the heat and humidity much more oppressive in the Midwest. Up here in the Pac NW it is just freakin' perfect.

7. It seens like we don't really have
spring anymore in Michigan. We go from having the heat on one week, to having the air conditioner on the next. Where are the days when we could just open some windows and be comfortable. I feel like I'm always closed in. Can't have the doors or windows open when the heat is on or when the a/c is on.

9. Seems it has gotten the same way here in North Georgia.
The house is always closed up. I have the heat on up until the end of March and then it's time to turn the A/C on.

The air is so heavy, it is just nasty. Thank goodness for an office building that is kept at refrigerator temperatures.

it was gross.

at least today it will only be in the 80s, but you're right about the humidity. it makes you feel like a damp rag!

22. I was up on a hill yesterday and couldn't see the Boston skyline
through the haze. Ick. When the cold clime states get humid, it really is oppressive. Lots of warnings about staying indoors if you're elderly, asmathic, etc.

32. Of all weekends, I picked last weekend to build a deck
5 surface boards left to pick up from Lowe's after work tonight and screw on and it's done. On Friday (94 degrees), I unloaded (literally) a ton of wood and concrete piers by myself, on Saturday (95 degrees) me and two other guys built the frame and yesterday (94 degrees) my wife and I nailed down the surface boards. Now I'm on a mission to get it all completed. So, I don't care if it's 95 again today. I'm finishing it damnit!
